President of the Company Day

Today is President’s day, the federal holiday celebrated on the third Monday in February.

Hi. I’m Todd Marquardt, President of Marquardt Law Firm, a professional corporation.

Even though this holiday is meant to honor the birthdays of all presidents of the United States, it reminds me to reach out to Presidents of Businesses and Companies.

The President’s office is where the buck stops. He or she is ultimately responsible for the success or failure of the business. You are probably preparing profit and loss statements, balance sheets, w-9s, 1099s, and w-2s so that you can get your k-1s finished.

Tax liability is only one concern you should watch. You should also manage your company’s cyber security, protected health information, personal identifying information, PCI data security standards, employee agreements, handbooks, policies and procedures, and compliance with your operating agreement.

The President is responsible, and he has the right to get help from a qualified business law attorney.

By the way, Which former Presidents of the United States were born in the month of February?
