A new United States House of Representatives bill, Veterans Care Financial Protection Act of 2016, was introduced on January 8, 2016 by Mr. Cartwright (for himself, Mr. Bishop of Georgia, Ms. Jackson Lee, and Mr. Jones). It has been referred to the Committee on Veterans’ Affairs. This is proposed federal legislation. In order for this law to take effect, members of the House of Representatives and the Senate must vote to pass the bill, and the President of the United States must approve it and sign it. This bill will limit the number of Veterans and their dependents who are eligible for benefits. Your team at Marquardt Law Firm, P.C. will be watching this bill closely and keep you informed through our blog, newsletter, Facebook, Linked In, and Twitter.

  • Wow can’t believe the government wants to limit our veterans to benefits. I am amazed how my country has changed over the years. Is there something I could do? As always, information readily available! Thanks
