Pat Retires

Pat Petty’s decision to retire as Office Manager of Marquardt Law Firm is received with sadness.  Pat and I have worked together in three different law firms over the last seven years.  She served the last three of those years helping me build a law firm from the ground up. I will miss Pat most because she has been one of my biggest encouragers.  She saw the firm grow from two 12 x 12 rooms stacked with four people to our three thousand square foot palace with as many as nine team members.

I humbly thank Pat for waking up early, staying late, and traveling to meet clients all over San Antonio and beyond.   She has been a gate-keeper for me and a counselor for our clients.  Clients have referred to her as “a jewel” and “the glue of the law firm.”  They could feel the passion that Pat had for helping people who were confused, frightened, or frustrated by complex legal proceedings.

This farewell is not a final goodbye because Pat has agreed to continue helping us on special projects when she is available.  I pray that God will lead Pat on her new path of retirement and I pray that Pat would find great enjoyment as she spends more time with her family.
